Canada Trips

Health form | Waiver form | Equipment list | Youth permission form

Every August, Liquid Adventures visits French-speaking Quebec for some of the best whitewater within a day’s drive of the Washington area. This year once again we will drive up to those sparkling rivers to the North in two trips, Strong Intermediate (class III – IV) and Advanced (class IV – IV+).

On the Canada Strong Intermediate Trip (Aug. 5 -12) we will complete a circuit including the Black, Ottawa, Gatineau, and Rouge, where there are beautiful play sections of the river.  All that is necessary is to have a roll in class III white water and be comfortable paddling the Lower Yough.  Paddlers can usually bring two boats one for playboating and one for river running. For the Advanced Tour of Quebec (Aug. 19 – 26) we include the Mattawin, Mistassibi, Metabetchuan, Malbaie and Jacques Cartier, Tewkesbury Section.  This is largely a river running trip.  Paddlers should be comfortable paddling the Upper Yough. The exact rivers we choose will depend on the group’s abilities and water levels at the time.  The trip will end with dinner in Quebec City.

Daily itinerary includes camping in tents, eating breakfast in camp, exploring and playing on a river, having dinner at a local restaurant and driving to the next river.  Please check the calendar for dates.

Prices: The cost of either trip,  (6 days of paddling and two days for travel) is $795, plus about $100 for restaurant meals.  Prices include breakfasts in camp, lunches on the river, transportation, and leadership.

Registration: For week-long trips, reservations within 30 days of the trip date require full payment with the reservation. After registering, and making payment, please print off a Waiver Form, Health Form, and Equipment List. For persons under 18, please print off the Youth Permission Form (both parents must sign the form and have it notarized). Bring your forms with you or send to the address below the Waiver Form, Health Form and Youth Permission Form (if needed).

Cancellation: If notice is received more than 30 days prior to the trip date, a full refund, will be issued. No refunds or alterations will be issued within 30 days of trip date. We highly recommend Trip Insurance to protect you in case of a sudden need to cancel.
