Level 3 – Introduction to Playboating
You won’t learn to do the sickest – aerial – looping move in this class, but you will learn how to perform and understand the basic moves that are the foundation to playboating; namely surfing, spinning, and stern squirting. We will begin by exploring the basics of wave surfing, starting with the jet ferry. You will learn to enter, exit and establish yourself on a wave. Next thing you know you will be carving back and forth switching smoothly from edge to edge. After you have surfed yourself silly we will start learning to slice your stern and controlling your edge in a stern squirt. Paddlers contemplating this course need to have a reliable roll and control in Class II.
