Intro to River Kayaking Package
This discount package allows for complete flexibility in scheduling and groups together the four basic beginner river classes.
- Level 1 – foundations
- Level 2 – maneuvers
- Level 3 – river running
- Level 4 – essentials of rescue
Where and when: Saturday at Anglers Inn and Sunday at Violettes Lock from 8:30 AM -12:30, May through October. We meet at 8:15, to be ready to start class at 8:30. Level 4 – essentials of rescue are held on the last Saturday on each month. Please check the calendar. We will let you know if river conditions require us to hold class elsewhere on the river.

Cost comparison: The Intro to River Kayaking Package (4 – 4hr classes) costs $320. The package provides a total of 16 hrs of expert instruction under the guidance of your friendly, ACA certified instructor in small (5:1) groups. At $20/hr., this package is a considerable savings over individual classes and far less than any comparable program. It includes all necessary equipment and free practice on Tuesdays.
Prerequisites: Good health and ability to swim
