My friend and also LAKS student has been secretly blogging about her adventures in kayaking. She started as a first time kayaker at Violette’s Lock last summer and, not quite a year later, owns three boats, has moved to Cabin John, and is considered by those close to her kayaking-obsessed.
Finally she has decided to share this project with the rest of the world! Her blog is honest and candid. She talks about her frustrations and chronicles each swim. She documents learning to roll, to surf, and paddling under a waterfall. She also introduces us to river dynamics and to characters from the DC area paddling community.
